TIMEOFF.GURU manages quite well the leave of absence processes. But as much as we sometimes wish, working from home is not a type of leave. Bacause of that, this "work mode" was not addressed in the system until now. Due to the COVID-19 emergency, more and more companies have their employees working remotely. Of course - only where the nature of the work allows it. This has its pros and cons. If a colleague is working outside the office, how do they inform others where they are? Maybe by email? Or perhaps on a instant messaging platform? In a smaller organization, this might be a solution, but for larger companies, such messages can quickly flood all communication channels. So it is crucila this information to be structured and available when and where needed.

To make it faster and easier to understand whether your colleague is available and where they are working from, we have added in TIMEOFF.GURU the ability to mark your work location. Each user can:

  • Choose from a predefined list of locations;
  • Specify additional locations, if allowed;
  • Select the period during which they will work from that location, including indefinitely;
  • Inform their colleagues about a change in their location.
