Spinner Bulgaria is an international company, a leader in the production of CNC metalworking machines. The German company Ѕріnnеr Wеrkzеugmаѕсhіnеnfаbrіk GmbН owns 50% of the company, and the other 50% is owned by the Turkish company Аvсı СNС Маkіnе Раzаrlаmа АŞ.

Spinner has a large plant for the production of metalworking machines in the "Kuklen" industrial zone, Plovdiv, employing over 100 professionals in the field.

The machines produced by the company are sold both on the Bulgarian market and in Germany, Turkey, the Middle East, and South and North America.

At the end of 2024, we were contacted by Ekaterina Tomova, HR and Administration Manager at the company, who shared her desire to introduce digital absence management in the company. At the beginning of 2025, we started the implementation of TIMEOFF.GURU.

Nowadays, we handle so many personal and professional tasks digitally - employment records, contracts, electronic signatures and files, banking operations. There are mobile phone apps for everything, which we now work with like computers. So the time of paper is over, in my opinion, irrevocably.

Electronic leave management is much faster, and the generated reports provide comprehensive and detailed information.

Visualization is also something that helps to quickly find out who is absent, when and for how many days - all of this is available in the team calendar in TIMEOFF.GURU. As a psychologist, I know that people have a highly developed visual memory, and this helps a lot in such processes and in their management.

The main differences between the paper and digital process are the speed of each operation performed - everything happens much faster once the correct settings are made. Requesting leave and getting feedback from your manager is just a click away. Approval/rejection of leave is also very fast.

The other difference is that the system allows many types of reports that provide comprehensive and even customized information by department, type of absence, etc. All reports can be modified, upgraded and retrieved within 1 minute. Last but not least, we save trees and do not use paper.

Another functionality that makes it easier is the ability to modify steps in the absence approval process so it meets management requirements. Taking hourly leave, i.e., not a full day of paid leave, but 2 or 4 hours is quite useful, as our company offers this option to its employees.

As an HR manager responsible for employee attendance in a company, tracking absences is extremely important, especially for large companies with over 100 employees.

Compatibility with other programs - ERP, SAP, payroll programs and easy data transfer - is also a very important functionality in TIMEOFF.GURU.
